Conscendo FPV Conversion

The Conscendo has a narrow fuselage and a folding prop at the nose. I kept the battery in the forward bay, put the electronics at the wing root, and moved the ceramic patch back along the fuselage.

The March photo shows a 4S 2200 mAh pack strapped in with the power plugs disconnected.

The pack is the easiest mass to move when setting the CG. I need enough room to shift it fore or aft and still tuck the connector in before closing the hatch.

Putting the electronics at the wing root

The orange carrier holds the board above the harness at the wing root. The main power lead stays reachable from the forward bay so I can pull the battery without disturbing the stack.

The wing root is also where a stray lead can get pinched as the wing seats. The open view shows where I routed the harness back into the pocket.

The ceramic patch faces up on the aft fuselage. Its wires run forward into the center pocket, and a separate antenna exits beside the wing root.

What I saw on the ground monitor

One March clip shows static on the monitor. In the other, I can see the grass and the nose on screen. The clips don’t show enough of the receiver or aircraft setup to isolate what changed.

The ground monitor and its mounting arrangements are covered separately in Portable FPV Ground Station.
